Wow. This may be too much information! But so important to teachers. We must stop teaching and just listen to our students to know their lives.

  1. Defiantly, this is an important issue for any teacher elementary or secondary. I have noticed that over the years we have dropped the ball on listening to what our students have to say. I understand that the school day is jammed packed with “Things to Do”, however, I think we forget why we are truly here and that reason would be for our students. Many issues can be discussed within the classroom with the classroom teacher. Often times a thirty to forty-five minute session with the counselor is not enough. We need to push the issue and our concerns and STOP this where it STARTS.
