Defiantly, this is an important issue for any teacher elementary or secondary. I have noticed that over the years we have dropped the ball on listening to what our students have to say. I understand that the school day is jammed packed with “Things to Do”, however, I think we forget why we are truly here and that reason would be for our students. Many issues can be discussed within the classroom with the classroom teacher. Often times a thirty to forty-five minute session with the counselor is not enough. We need to push the issue and our concerns and STOP this where it STARTS.
